God shared His precious gift of salvation, through His Son, Jesus Christ. Who will reap the benefits that go along with salvation? Who will see the Kingdom of Heaven? Who will become the children of God? The scriptures show us the way to Heaven, like a road map, if we are willing to do the things that God has laid out for us.
Mark 10:26&27, And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved? And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men, it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. God freely gives the gift of salvation to the world, through the belief in His Son. If we believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, we will be saved. John 14:6, Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. These words were spoken by Jesus himself and are powerful words. There is no other way to reach God, than through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
The Bible tells us that salvation is simple and personal. Romans 10:10, That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Salvation cannot be earned. Plain and simple, it is a gift from God. Romans 6:23, For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Through His death and resurrection, Jesus paid the price for our salvation. Accepting Him as our personal Savior allows us to become a child of God. John 1:12&13, But as many as received Him, to them gave He the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name. Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Accepting the fact that Jesus is the Son of God, believing on Him and repenting of our sins and turning away from those sins, does assure us that we will be saved. Heaven awaits those who are saved. It is security in knowing that Jesus has prepared a place for us, and that He is waiting for us to spend eternity with Him. John 3:16 states this, so beautifully and simply. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Mankind has an opportunity to spend eternity in the presence of God, and our Lord and Savior. Salvation comes to us by God's grace alone. There is no other way. Jesus is waiting for us at the end of our journey, if we have accepted Him as our Savior.
